Why do the Available Time Slots cover more than the 24 hours of Peace Day?
Time slots are given for 48 hours. This is because New Zealand (on one side of the date line) is 23 hours ahead of Samoa and Tonga (on the other side of the date line). When September 21st starts in New Zealand at midnight (00:00) it is 1 AM on September 20 in Tonga and Samoa. Because the Vigil will be operating for the 24 hours of September 21st in all time zones it will effectively be going for 48 hours.
