The ice caps have been melting since the end of the last Ice Age. Mountain glaciers have gone through countless cycles of expansion and retreat, some global some regional some local. Presently most of them are melting. In and of itself, you’re right, that’s not probative of anything. It does mean reduced drinking supply for some locations, but there’s no necessary link to man-made global climate change. In fact, in many instances it’s the direct result of local water and land use. Mankind does affect climate, particularly local climate.
