Why do Tech Prep credits cost $10 per credit, while Dual Credit costs $65 per credit?
Tech Prep courses are high school courses, taught by high school instructors. The courses are deemed an equivalent to a college course. The high school instructor is paid by the district to teach the high school course. Dual credit courses are college courses taught by college faculty, either in the high school or on campus. NIC pays the instructor salary when college courses are taught.
