The majority of us – yes MAJORITY of us do not wear black gloves simply because we want to monitor how full of ink they are getting so we can change them regularly. Many of us now use nitrile or other non-latex gloves these days so you will see a lot of blue ones out there. Latex breaks down with petroleum products that most of us use during the tattoo process. If they are clear, they are likely vinyl. We only use vinyl for prepping and cleaning up the room. They should not be used for tattooing.
