Why do students study abroad?
For an “easy A” of course—everyone knows that! Sadly, that “easy A” from spending a summer on a Mediterranean beach is just a myth—at least at the law school level. Plan to work as hard as you do at your home institution when you are abroad. Anything less than your full participation and commitment to your own education would dishonor your academic and professional development. Even if the grade on your law school transcript will be reported as a simple “pass” or “fail” from the foreign program, don’t assume that you can blow off attending class while you visit European capitals, or that you can skimp on reading in favor of improving your knowledge of various national beverages.
