Why Do Star Wars Fans Hate Return of the Jedi?
Star Wars fans are very passionate about their beliefs and I can certainly understand some of them. Yes, Empire Strikes Back is an awesome movie. Yes, the new trilogy is not very good. Yes, Anakin stinks in the new movies. Yes, Jar Jar needs to go away forever. Yes, Han shot first. I will never understand one thing though and that is everybody’s hate for Return of the Jedi. I don’t think Return of the Jedi is the best movie ever but I don’t hate it either. The beginning of the movie starts great. R2D2 and C3P0 are wandering the desert, they find Jabba the Hutt’s little hideout and we’re greeted some pretty cool creatures and things. Then we see Leia and Luke’s plan to free Han Solo unfold and a pretty cool fight scene during their attempted execution that instead turns into their escape. We also get a look at the ultra cool Sarlacc monster. Return of the Jedi reveals to us that Luke is not the only Skywalker and Return of the Jedi also confirms the bombshell that Darth Vader dropped in
