Why do some VLCD programmes say no conventional foods for 3 months and longer?
– We completely disagree with this approach as do many GPs. We can live without smoking and alcohol, but we cannot live without food! At W8 we do not believe that removing food from your life for long periods of time will help you, most people find this very difficult and give up. Instead, we have introduced a list of healthy foods that you can eat -depending on which programme you are on – that will still enable you to lose weight quickly and this will help you to complete your weight loss journey.
