Why do some videos have different download options (no iPod file available, MPEG-1 file download, etc) than others?

Do not question the inconsistency of the file types available, because they never will make any sense! LOL. Sometimes a technical problem with the original video makes it difficult to convert the file to my preferred formats. (I have to use something other than my good old standby Quicktime Pro with the DivX plug-in.) Other times I just felt in a mood to make more file types for whatever reason. Don’t expect it to make sense, because it doesn’t always!
