Why do some sport clubs charge dues?
All clubs receive funding from the West Chester University Student Government Association (SGA) through their student activity fee; however, club funding does not cover all costs of operation. To offset these costs, and to provide more opportunities to travel and purchase equipment, clubs collect dues from their members. In order to mitigate the personal cost to each member, many clubs fundraise in a variety of ways throughout the year.
