Why do some sites talk about a finish or seal on their copper sinks?
Many sites do indeed refer to finishes or sealant products on their sinks. A finish or a sealant is only appropriate on the apron portion of a copper sink. There is NO finish, nor sealant, that will withstand the use of the inside of a copper sink. You will never find one of these companies with a warranty longer than a year. We only accelerate the natural aging process of the copper on the inside of the sink using household vinegar. The patina will always grow back to the color we originally aged it to.
