Why do some simulations only produce the LTT (Blue Line)?

On many passages where meteorological conditions are not significant (or vessels speed is high) the LTT will be coincident with the LDT. In such a situation the simulator graphics only render one track because the blue LTT line overlays and obscures the red LDT line.
