Why do some people who come on here use mobile phone ext language?
Laziness. What annoys me even more is that when you criticise it, they often argue that it is quicker to use the “text language” abbreviations, and yet they pad it out with “anyway”, “OMG”, and other useless expressions. I gave up trying. Far more worrying is that most people here don’t know when to use an apostrophe before or after an “s”, when to use “there”, “their”, or “they’re”, don’t know the difference between “no” or “know”, “loose” or “lose”, “weight” or “wait”, “which” or “witch” or about 20 other things that we had learnt by the age of about 11. The education system has failed totally in that respect, and yet it simply doesn’t bother the people that write so incompetently that I would personally call them illiterate. As for punctuation and an understanding of when to use capital letters…………..
