Why do some people where there wedding ring on their right hand?
It’s a cultural thing. I know it is tradition in the Greek culture to wear the ring on the right hand rather than the left. The original “reasoning” for wearing the ring on the ring finger was because it was thought that the vein in that finger was the most direct line to the heart. I have been told that in the Greek culture it was thought that the left ring finger’s vein went directly back to the heart, meaning the blood had already circulated through the rest of the body. It old and used blood. By contrast, the vein in the RIGHT ring finger came directly from the heart, so it was new and fresh. Kind of like “right vs. wrong.” All these years later, there is no right or wrong place to wear your ring. It’s up to you, and generally what traditions you and your family follow…
