Why do some people think death is funny?

I’ve seen people giggle at funerals. Although it seems inappropriate, the emotions of death can be overwhelming for some people.

There is certainly nothing funny about death, when those that think it is an amusing subject have to watch those they love die they will change their minds.

I think George Bernard Shaw summed it up very well with this quote: “Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.”

Death (played by William Sadler) in Bill’s & Ted’s Bogus journey was pretty funny Real death is never funny to me Fictional death (like knights getting slaughtered by a bunny) can be funny, but like in dramas it’s usually not I don’t particularly find death inherently funny if that’s what you mean.
