Why do some people say that Messianic Jews are not Jewish, but Atheist Jews are?
Because Denial is not a river in Egypt. Really folks its all about denial. Christianity is actually very close to Judaism in what it teaches about values our relationship to God, nature and each other. Both are completely incompatible with pantheism (a form of Paganism). You could not have a more striking difference in perspective. In Judaism and Christianity God animates nature. In pantheism God is nature. So instead of worshiping the creator you are worshiping creation. This is clearly against Judaism and Christianity but common among some movements of Judaism.Yet this is religion that some reform Jews like to mix with Judaism.
