Why do some people laud hippie culture when the following is true………….?
My parents were hippies and I am not socially irrisponsible. Neither are my children. In fact when I compare my kids with those of other people I know, I’m inclined to think that the hippies had it right. We don’t live in Britain, we live in Mexico and none of us are running amok. Personally I think my father knew exactly what he was doing and I applaud both his effort and his techique. This is the trouble with generalizations. You judge a group based on the actions of a few. But for every hippie child running amok there are three more leading respectable lives and you will never know about them. My brother and I both have respectable jobs, making over 100K a year. I own a hotel in Mexico and personally provide jobs for four families. My children go to private schools, are bilingual, bicultural, and respectful of others.
