Why do some people have hard water coming out of their taps and some people have soft water?
it depends on the source of their water people supplied from reservoirs tend to have soft water as it is mostly rain water and run off which has not been in contact with mineral giving rocks .Areas that have their water pumped from underground water aquifers tend to have hard water as that has taken years to slowly seep through the rocks slowly dissolving lime and other minerals that make the water hard.
