Why do some people consider speaking in tongues bad for certain religions and faiths?
Speaking in tongues is practiced among some pagan religions and this means it is important to “test the spirits” if it is practiced today in the Christian church. However, not all Christians see it as a gift for today. It is important that any spiritual gift is motivated by God’s love and there is interpretation of tongues if spoken publicly. See 1 Corinthians 12-14.
