Why do some of the GPS images not show modern features?
Instead of pirating imagery from Google Earth or other copyrighted sources, I use public-domain U.S. Geological Survey satellite shots. Many of them still date from the 1990s. Some features in my photos, such as buildings, roads or ponds, have been constructed since those images were taken. However, the position of the earth’s continents hasn’t changed by enough to render the latitude and longitude points inaccurate.
