Why do some of the boxes have the POST on the letter flap in a different colour to the box?
When the box is made, the POST is the same colour as the box, but as it is ‘cast’ it stands proud of the surface of the box and so ‘stands out’ However there is also an option of having the ‘POST’ in a different coloured lettering: This however is only available on a Clarendon style post flap which comes as standard with the Bloomsbury post box; You can have the Kingsbury post box – which normally comes with a ‘script’ style post flap – also in contrast lettering, but choose the ‘Clarendon ‘ post flap style
