Why Do Some Of My Sniffies Smell Alike?
Ziploc baggies are NOT hermetically sealed. Also, plastic tends to “sweat” or “bleed” as temperatures change either while your Sniffies are in-transit or just sitting in your house or shop. Since all of the Sniffie baggies are enclosed together, the scent escaping from each will tend to blend with the others. By the time you open the enclosing envelope, many of the smells may have blended together rendering it almost impossible to differentiate them. Thus, learning what each of your Sniffies really smells like will require some patience on your part. To get the true fragrance of each of your Sniffies, separate the baggies from one another, place them apart, and allow them to air out at least overnight. Usually by the next morning, the fragrance vapors clinging to the outside of each baggie will have had time to dissipate. Now you can open each ziploc baggie and sniff to your heart’s content!
