Why do some mothers die during childbirth?
This is a hard one because of how tragic as well as common this still is. The reason most mothers die during child birth is usally due to blood lose from the tearing of the muscels and tissues of the vagina or uterus, or the rupture of other internal organs from the presure of the contractions, the movement of the baby, or even the size of the baby, breach birth or the baby getting stuck. This is most common among teenage mothers, women giving birth for the first time, or women of small stature. It’s usally so bad that by the time it is noticed it can’t be stopped. This one of the reasons why I had to be induced and then given an emergency c-section with my first son. Their first concern was that he was only going to be three pounds 6 ounces from being growth resticted. The second was that if they waited to see if he gained more weight he wouldn’t be able to pass through my pelvis. The last was that if they waited he would be under such stress he would die.
