Why do some JOHNSONS baby products contain ingredients that are not natural?
Although we consider some naturally derived ingredients to be important components of our products, there are times when synthetic ingredients provide a better alternative. Not all natural ingredients are safe. Some of the strongest known allergenic substances come from plants. Certain natural ingredients are subject to fluctuations in quality standard (i.e. due to changes in the weather or cross-contamination) and can be subject to contamination. Naturally derived ingredients are used in our products, but only if they meet our stringent quality standards. Why are fragrances used? Fragrances are used primarily to give babies that fresh, just washed smell that parents love. Sometimes they are used to mask other scents that are not so pleasant to the consumer.
