Why do some images appear to be tilted sideways?
This is an artifact of the Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area projection, which will produce more skewing near the edges of a region. Just remember that for any scene, the up-arrow moves from one row to the row above it, and not necessarily towards the top of your page. In the Map Layers menu, the North Arrow will show where “north” is relative to the mosaic or image shown.
