Having gloves as part of a bridal ensamble is just for looks. You don’t even have to wear them if you don’t want to. You can put the ring on OVER the glove if you would like but it has been my experience that the glove either will have “removable” fingers for that hand or the bride will remove the entire glove for the ring part of the ceremony. The reason most prefer NOT to put the ring on over the glove is because of the fit of the ring over the material AND because a lot of newly married couples don’t like to take their rings off for awhile.
