Why do so many teens think they can lose their virginity by using tampons?
Because teenagers aren’t being educated like they should be, I believe. Technically, losing your virginity is the breaking of the hymen but because of all people can do today, the losing of ones virginity has become subjective. There is no set definition since some believe oral does not compromise ones virginity, and some do. Some think anal sex is the giving up of your virginity, and some don’t. It’s completely up to the individual, and their values and morals. But if they aren’t properly educated, of course they’re going to be confused. Teaching sex in school and talking to your children about sex is almost considered taboo and wrong nowadays, which is ridiculous. When I was in high school just a few years ago, you needed to have parents sign a consent form to teach about the reproductive organs and, thereafter, sex.
