Why do so many people treat the word “love” like a swear word?
Call some random guy an idiot and half the time they won’t even look up, but tell a random guy “I love you” and they’ll either look at you funny or punch your teeth out. • Love is intimate, insults aren’t. It makes sense to insult somebody you don’t really know. However, saying “I love you,” to somebody you can’t possibly love right then is just weird. As for punching your teeth out, well that’s likely homophobia. • Love is a person-to-person thing. You can fuck anything and not care, but to love someone means you have to take into account that they’re also a person. • Which means that people must be cannibals, because I love chocolate icecream soooooooooo much! • Well, iceberg piatas were made for a reason! • There are different kinds of love. “Love thy neighbor” versus “love elaborate miniatures” versus “love thy spouse” versus “love thy parents”.
