Why do so many people like Naruto or whatever that Japanese animation crap is?
When you say “that Japanese animation crap”, I’m assuming you mean the show, Naruto, and not anime in general; you would most likely not have this application if you hated anime. As stated by Andrew Meltzer, Naruto is a typical shounen show. I have love-hate feelings towards the show. It is obviously appealing to a younger audience. The show has too many fantasy elements to consider Naruto as a great ninja, but it is the abilities that each character has which attract me; I like fantasy. It offends me in a way because I am a practitioner of martial arts, and very few characters actually know how to fight (and it’s not even ninjutsu), but, as I stated before, I enjoy the fantasy aspect of the manga (the anime is too slow for me). The storyline really isn’t that great, but it’s not crap. If you had to create an on-going story, you’d see how hard it would be to write as you go along.
