Why do so many people hate Israel and blame it for all the problems in the middle-east?
You should ask why so many people hate the Jews. Usually extremely anti-Israeli feelings are just an excuse for extreme anti-Semitism. We can sit here and discuss all the usual “suspects” such as – being a minority – being blamed for killing Jesus – how the “terrible” Jews treat the “miserable” Palestinians – being too successful and having too much power and control over the banks and the media – etc. etc. etc. But in my opinion the main reason is entirely different. The Jews have chosen a path of forgiveness. They just don’t retaliate and they rarely seek revenge. The upside of this approach is that instead of wasting your energy on hate and revenge, you are spending it on becoming successful. The down side is that you are an easy target – and here lies the whole story. You don’t have to fear any severe repercussions when attacking – either verbally or physically Jews or Israelis – surprisingly as it may sound even Israel mostly responds to attack on its citizens.
