Why do so many Indian restaurants have Christmas type lights all year round?
Indians have very different ideas of decoration than do Americans (or other Westerners). In India, many businesses are decorated with Christmas type lights all year round. They also decorate with lights for Indian and Hindu festivals – most notably Diwali, which is sometimes known as the “festival of lights”.
