Why do so many hard-core liberals hate American football?
I don’t think that is true of all hard-core liberals (I know some that are passionate sports fans), but I am aware of some who detest sports in general. So I will speculate… Maybe because there are winners and losers. Football is a metaphor for life. Competition is a bad thing to them. I detest modern American/European liberalism because they want to make sure there are no “losers” in life by making sure there are no “winners” either (except for them). They ensure this by forcibly taking the production, success and wealth of the “winners” and giving it to the “losers”. In a football game, if a liberal was the NFL commissioner who made the rules, the team with the losing record would be spotted a touchdown or two at the start of the game. Any effort by the superior team to gain an advantage, or knock the other team on their butts would be penalized and deemed to be “unfair” or “hateful”.
