Why do so many American girls think Italian guys are romantic?
You know that really mindboggles me (Italians being romantic). Latinos and guys from the Mediterranean region are considered “romantic”, but I agree with you, they’re not. I myself am Latino male, and I WILL FULLY admit, that guys of my culture are not romantic; often, they act it to get what they want. The same applies to Italians (and I know many). I’m the shy reserved type (a very “un-Latin” trait LOL), and feel the best thing in dealing with a woman is to respect her, but not worship her without meaning it, only to have 2 or 3 on the side; but I have female relatives tell me to at least ACT romantic and they support lying if necessary to impress (like many Latin guys tend to do). I’m glad there’s somewhat who sees things from a more realistic perspective. But like someone mentioned above, movies have put a huge influence on people.
