Why do Sky Blue, Blue Robins Egg & Light Blue have different names, but the same colors?

Light blue can mean many things. You only have to look at a display for wall paint colors and see that some blues have a touch more green or yellow, or red in them. A tiny bit of difference and they need a new name. I actually don’t think that the color of a robin’s egg is the same as the sky at all but then the sky changes from day to day and from area to area. So in one area they may mean a different color for their sky compared to what a robin’s egg might be. Look at the bottom of this page for different blues. It’s very interesting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_blue From the above link Light Blue is much lighter than Sky Blue. And here is one for Robin egg blue: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_egg_blue Very dark.
