You will more than likely benefit from using the following information: http://sportsmedicine.about.com/cs/rehab/a/rice.htm Consider getting a better pair of trainers for when you go out and do strenuous exercise and/or consider getting a good pair of insoles in your shoes to enable the impact to be evenly distributed when you train. Although if you do have shin splints I wouldn’t worry too much, because when I got them after doing too much to fast I did the above and continued training through the pain and it helped me, however I would strongly recommend not training through it, I had reasons that wouldn’t allow me not to train. Just follow the above advice and you will be fine mate.
