Why do schools go to all year round schooling?

0

Let me say this. I am a parent and I support year-round schooling and my kids have particpated in it…There are several reasons why this is a GREAT idea. 1. Going to school year round is teaching children what it is like in the “Real world” and having to go to work every day. 2. Children have four extended breaks of two weeks each, which equals the amount of summer vacation that traditional students get. In other words they get vacation when you are in school. 3. Children retain more of what they learn. Apparently it has been proven that children lose 30% or more of what they have learned the previous year over summer vacation. 4. There are less issues with child care for parents.
