Why do scholastic onsite entries at the Region VI Championships receive a round 1 bye?
Only scholastic entries will receive a round 1 bye if received after 5pm April 30th or onsite. The Region VI tournament is a full-day’s event. In order to stay on schedule, we need to eliminate the delays which onsite entries cause. Scholastic onsite entries will receive a 1/2 point requested bye in round 1 and continue play in round 2.
