Why do sales taxes include shipping costs with PlugN Pay?
A. If you are using Plug’n Pay® as your secure transaction provider on your website, by default sales tax will be based on the total price of the order, including shipping charges. If you do not want to apply sales tax to shipping charges, you must request Plug’n Pay to set a special flag in your account to not collect tax on shipping fees. You may make this request via the online Plug’n Pay® helpdesk. Plug’n Pay cannot distinguish between states that require sales tax to be collected on shipping chares and those that do not.
