Why do runners relay races run anticlock wise. same with ice skaters?
I don’t know why but most track races are run anti-clockwise not just relays and skaters. I can’t think of any that aren’t except for cross country or road races that have circuits or laps in them. Motor racing sports are usually clockwise. Perhaps it’s just traditional to do it in that direction.
