Why do rock song lyrics tend to be so misogynistic?
Sadly, most composers and musicians in rock are still men. This leads to an element of mysogyny. Additionally, the target audience for most rock songs is teenaged boys. While there are, of course, exceptions, most teenaged boys still have some mysogynistic elements to them. The combination of these two factors, in my opinion, is why so many rock songs have mysogynistic lyrics. Sources: This is my opinion.
