Why do priests preach about social development? Isn their job to talk about prayer and things spiritual?
It is the duty of priests to talk about prayer and things spiritual. But even the plight of the emarginated, the poor, the unemployed and the oppressed affect such people and those who keep them as such spiritually. When priests preach about social realities it is because we cannot dichotomize Christian life and daily living.
