Why do police officers like donuts?
It actually has some truth to it. Years back, there were no 24 hour convenience stores, no drive ins, and everything closed before the midnight crew even started their shift. Cars were not as readily available back then, so many walked the beat. The first places to open would be the donut and coffee shops. This would be their first chance to take a break, warm up, and yes… have a donut. Other officers would join, as there was probably only one place in that area, and a tradition was born.
