Why do Police Forces accept Sponsorship and Donations?

0

Police Forces receive their main income from the Government Police Grant, Business Rates and Council Taxation. This provides the core funding that police forces endeavour to provide the best service possible. If police forces want to try our new technological or sociological solutions to such items as fear of crime, crime reduction or increasing public confidence, we have to either cut core services, or find additional funding to pilot the new solutions. Grants, Sponsorship, Trading and event police charitable ‘arms’, can provide this pilot funding.
