Why do plants grow at different seasons?
Plants grow in response to soil temperature, nutrients, moisture levels, and sunlight. These requirements are met at different times during the year. In places with a wide and varied climate like the US and Canada, one sees the greatest variation of when/how plants will grow. In tropical climates, it seems that the plants have adapted to grow year round.
