Why do peoples eyes go red in camera flash and dogs go blue and cats go yellow/green?
Well for humans they tend to go red because of blood vessels behind the eyes. And for animals it’s kind of hard to explain, but basically puppies and kittens have a special reflective layer at the back of their eyes which reflects light, which is a different colour for every pet but is usually blue, which is why they sometimes go blue. Once the eyes fully mature then that layer can change colour to the animals coat. Sometimes for cats that reflective layer is yellow or green, thus making their eyes look yellow or green in a photo. If your eyes or your pets eyes change colour in a photo it usually means you or they were looking directly at the camera. I hope I helped you.
