Why do people who think they are muslims eat baby sheep who like to play but not pigs?
I seem to remember in shakespears merchant of venice that Shylock ( a jew) seems to suggest jesus was the origin of the prohibition on Pork i.e. Jesus allowed the demon called legion to live in a herd of swine after he exorcised them from a man possessed!!!!! Its a funny rule because I understand that when archaeologists dig in ancient jewish sites all they find are the bones of pigs i.e. they ate pig all the time despite the religious rule Interestingly, physiologically speaking the minipig is the closest animal to human …there are plans to use pigs for organ transplant. If the species barrier is so close between man and pig possibly the muslims are correct to avoid it as a potential source of infection in the same way the simian 40 virus of monkeys evolved to give us HIV.
