Why do people who claim Wicca is a “Generations old” religion insist on spelling magic with a K?
What one needs to realize is that the pagan faiths and old gods are generations old. Wicca, however, has only been around since the 50s. Most wiccans don’t realize that. (which is why I stopped practicing wicca and started becoming a true student of the old gods). The reason they spell it differently is they believe it helps to distinguish between “everyday magic” like a street magician or someone who knows slight of hand and “real magic” like casting spells and circles of protection. The result, however, is less than desirable.
