I don’t believe in the Skunk ape or Bigfoot. I do believe that many species of animals are yet to be discovered. Giant squid have previously been thought to be only an exaggerated seaman’s yarn, and they have been identified –along with giant jellyfish. New animal species are regularly discovered. We are finding new species in unexplored recesses of the planet. Bigfoot and Sunk ape are reported to exist on the edges of wild places in areas humans do frequent. The myth exists because we enjoy it. Bigfoot or the Skunk Ape, as it is called in the US southwest and especially Florida is a phenomenon that occurs around the world from Nepal to Nevada and Transylvania to Texas. According to Skunk ape info the beast smells like rotten eggs. Perhaps people want to believe in a human-like beast that serves as a connection between civilized humanity and the estrangement we feel from wild places.
