Why do people think the earth is only 6000 years old?
Most creationists think they know more than the huge body of professional scientists. They will claim the methods of dating are wrong using an inaccurate model of how those dating methods actually work. Then they conveniently ignore when disparaging dating methods are used that still yield the same results.
God created the earth as we see it with its apparent geology and appearances of age.
