Why do people think the conflicts in the Middle East are all about religion?

It’s very little about oil and money. Religious conflicts have been going on in the Middle East since long before any practical use for oil was invented. The western world invading Iraq is about safeguarding oil supplies, but that’s just one war. The seemingly permanent war around Israel looks like it’s between different religions, but in fact it’s between different tribes – Palestinians were understandably not happy at being kicked out of Israel when it was formed. And the remaining wars ARE about religious militants. You have missed the point of what “Animal Farm” was about. It is a satire on Russian Communism and all the characters have obvious parallels in the first few decades of Communist rule there.
