Why do people think magic spells actually work?
People who believe in magick and witchcraft are people who have successfully used spells to change something in their life. I’ve used spells to banish annoying neighbors and it worked (twice, on two different people.) I’ve also done spells that haven’t worked for me. So the people who believe in spells probably ignore or rationalize why some spells don’t work for them and they only focus on the spells that have worked, which helps them maintain their belief. In many third-world countries, witchcraft is something that is ingrained in the culture. Everyone believes it and they all fear being cursed by a witch. I think it’s very natural for people to believe in magick and witchcraft, especially if they haven’t had some other religion forced down their throat all their lives.
